TO FULLY UNDERSTAND OUR MISSION, YOU MUST KNOW AUSTIN.
A son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson, friend. Austin was many things, but above all he was an outdoorsman. Austin was never one to sit inside on a beautiful day. He shared his passion for the outdoors with his friends, introducing them to his many hobbies. His passion for the outdoors developed at an early age. Being lucky enough to have not one, but two cottages; where he spent his summers outside swimming, fishing and wake-boarding. Above all, his favourite pass-time was hunting and fishing with his dad.
Tragically, Austin died in his sleep at the age of 19. His family and friends – anyone who knew him – are devastated by the unbelievable loss of this dynamic, wonderful young man.
In his memory
It's in Austin's memory that his family started Feet in the Forest, a fundraiser to provide youth with opportunities to experience the outdoors. Our vision is to see Austin's undying love for the outdoors provide lifechanging experiences for deserving youth.
Cause' in the wind he's still alive.
